Gremlins - Hazy DIPA
When we met the team from One Drop at Juicy we immediately knew they were slightly deranged and so we would be forever friends. This collab is epic in every sense and one of the best beery experiences we've had to date. It's a two part thiol explosion.
Taking a hazy base, with loads of rolled and malted oats, we used Salvo Calypso, Savignon Blanc juice and liquid New England yeast, which is particularly good at realising the thiols from the Cascade and Motueka hops we used.
It's a tropical wonderland. Huge passionfruit and soft stone fruits in the nose, with banana, guava and gooseberry supporting around the edges. The flavour is fresh tropical jungle, in full bloom. A soft finish keeps it dangerously drinkable and something to cherish.
