Panic Room - Double West Coast IPA

Massive Westies are a beautiful thing. The structure given by the body and the alcohol content allows judicious use of dank and piney hops. Simcoe, Columbus, Strata, and Amarillo on the hot side, with Mosaic, Citra, Simcoe and Columbus on the cold side. A cascade of flavour, all singing in harmonic reverberations over the drumline of biscuit and protein malts.

Huge piney dankness on the nose is backed up by an anzac like biscuit malt sweetness. Flavours of grapefruit, wood, pine, stonefruit and pepper are all held together by a resinous mouthfeel, pleasing alcohol warmth and balancing bitterness. It is dangerously drinkable, with all the elements working together.
