Night Shift - Salted Peanut & Chilli Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout

A huge, chocolatey imperial stout was aged for 12 months in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. The rich malt complexity of the stout harmonises well with the soft coconut and vanilla of the barrels. Hand toasted and salted peanuts were infused in the final product, along with a habanero tincture.

The chilli offsets the savoury nut character, with the salt making all the flavours more precipitous. The spice is retrained to allow the other flavours shared spotlight but builds as it goes. Satiating and moreish, you'll want a beer to go with this beer.
